Default [Fixed] directory names changed

i just reformated my computer and i have
2 hard drives on my pc 200gb each, before it was reformated
i had Drive C: and D: and E,F,G,H,I,J followed, (i have a card reader)
but now i have C:, J: which was suppose to be D: but D: is on the card reader devices:


How can i change it back to way it was and drive J: was D: again?

Hi there Jazz090 , welcome to PCHF.

If you go to Start/all programs/administrative tools/computer management and then select on the left "disk management" then you can change the drive letters there.

Rightclick on the drive and select "change drive letter and path" and then press "change" and then select the drive letter in that small dropdown box.
You have to rename the D: drive temporarely to K: though , or the letter "D" isn't availeble to choose for the second HD (currently J: )
