Windows XP/2000 - [Awnsered] XP dont check errors posted in the Operating Systems forums; why is my pc not checking errors if it is not proerly shutdown. it will just start up normally? why is it like that?...

Hi Ikar, welcome to the PCHF forum and enjoy your stay.

With regards to your problem, XP does not normally check for errors if the computer is not properly shutdown. To get a system check for errors, please go to "My Computer" , click on the Relavant Drive u want to scan for errors , Right click and go to "tool" and click on "check now" After which restart the computer and XP will check the drive for errors.
