Hello Dan211uk and Welcome to PCHF,
The high pitched beep is a heat related beep. Letting you know your CPU is overheating. Do you have a heatsink And fan inside covering your cpu?

Hey,

Your CPU seems to be not overheated, for more information about temperatures and different CPU's see: http://www.heatsink-guide.com/maxtemp.shtml

If there is a temperature control program for you motherboard and CPU, like ASUS Probe (for ASUS motherboards), maybe it is posible to set you CPU temperature threshold a few degrees higher.
Or in the BIOS program set you max. CPU temperature higher.

If your system reaches the max. temperature for a long time, it might be damaged, i would advice some better airflow in you case.
For tips and trucks about airflow see this website:

good luck
