Default Graphics Problem!

While this is a graphics problem, I posted it here in the Windows XP forum because I'm not exactly sure it's a hardware problem. Here's why.

Firstly, the problem I'm having is that my graphics card is not detected. I can't run any high intensity graphic programs now because I'll get a message saying it cannot be run in 256 color mode. These are all programs that previously worked with the same set-up. I believe the card is an NVIDIA GeForce 2 32mb.

Anyway, when I go to device manager, my graphics card is not there. It does not know it exists. Instead it is detecting a problem with the Intel(R) 82850/82860 Procsesor to AGP Controller - 2532 with the following message:

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

Nothing the troubleshooter suggested helped.

The period of time between when I last used the card successfully when I noticed the problem was about a day. In that time, I believe only a few things were done:

*I installed Quicktime Player w/ iTunes
*I installed Macromedia Flash 8
*Changed monitors (to a flatscreen, back to the old one, then back to the flatscreen again)

Since I noticed, I have done the following:

*Uninstalled Quicktime Player w/ iTunes
*Run a full boot-time virus scan, which did eliminate some virii, but did not solve the problem.
*Opened the case and reseated the graphics card. (It was a little loose, and for some reason still is. Someone in the house was in there days earlier putting in a wireless network card, but the graphics card was successfully detected after that network card was put in.)

My first notice of the problem was when I changed monitors to the flatscreen, but I don't know if that was the actual cause, or something done prior to that.

I cannot figure out for the life of me what's going on. Thanks for the help.

Hmmm, silly question, but is there a place to find that on the computer without opening the case and looking at it?

Great, a Dell. Can you please post your ""Service Tag" - it's a short alpha- numeric ID/serial number, somewhere on your PC (an example would be HA54J2). It will be on a sticker on the side or rear of the case.
