im having trouble at the minute with sound on my computer being sent through the microphone when using headphones. the sound is no where near the mic, yet it is still picked up as if i were using some sort of "record what you hear" setting. this is not so - that i know of. ive installed the latest drivers, tweaked setting and lots of other stuff to fix this but to no avail.

im running win xp with a GA7N400 Pro2 mboard with AC97 audio.

any input is greatly appreciated.

Is this something that has suddenly happened? What type of mic do you have...is it attached to your headphones?
