Hello mcifaldi,
Welcome here to PCHF. There are many nice and informitive people here to help.

As for your problem, do you have hibernation enabled? Do you know if it just logs off or actually reboots and stops at the logon screen?

The reason I ask if it totally reboots is... It can be Heat related, as the system gets hotter then the Bios lets the system know to restart the pc so it can cool down.

you can try this tool to stop it from shutting down.

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/smartshutdown.html

Also may be helpful if you look into your event viewer and see if any problems arose while you were away

Hi Mcifaldi , welcome from me to.

To see if hibernation is turned on , go here:

Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/Power options/Hibernate.
