Question [Solved] flexible IP address

Hi everybody,

I need some help! I would like to have a "flexible" IP address. What I really need is a kind of "switch" that can be used to switch from one IP to another. I dont want to have blocked IP or random IP. I would like to switch back and forth from one IP address to another.
Do you think it's possible?
Im open to any ideas (preferably free solutions).
Thanks!
garfield

Hi Garfield0805 welcome to PHCF.
The handing out of ip's is being managed by your ISP. The only way you can change' your ip is by using a proxy which will give you a random ip. Unfortunately it's not possible to achieve the goal you have in mind....

What you are referring to is a Dynamic IP Address. This means if your on AOL for example, everytime you sign on, you are assigned a different IP Address.

That would be a random IP , he sais he doesn't want that , and he still cant switch on demand then.

The only way that I know of to switch between 2 non-random IPs would be to signup twice for an ISP that provides "static" IPs. Then switch the network cable from one ISP's DSL/Cable modem to another. I don't know how possible this would be to do, but theoretically it would work.
