I was wondering if there is a spell checker in my XP word program other note pad thing with the rich text document option?

I have looked high & low and cant seem to find one to DO I need to buy a word program just to get a SAFE spelling program?

and I'm getting ready to scan a bunch of important papers to a file on my PC is there a procedure or and tips & hints you all can give me to make this go better? i figure there will be a couple thousand pages I have NO experience doing this so how ever trivial lay it on me:computer_

Its a 75MB Download though and is a free alternative to Microsoft Office.

Hi Slowride, have u tried downloading the Open office software and tried the spelling function ?

No I haven't what does it do and how would I go about doing it does it have one of then install wizards?

Yes you just download it from the link i posted and run the Install wizard.
