Default uninstalled but cant install new prog

I couldnt really think of a title but anyways Im trying to install panda anti virus 2006 but it wont let me since some remninants and such is left behind by McAfee and it interprets these and tells panda that it is still installed. Now I have reinstalled and reuninstalled mcafee and did a few registry scans (with reg seeker) and it still comes up any idea's? Thanx in advance O0

Hi the3rror,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a wonderful staff here with a wide variety of computer knowledge. I am sure that we will be able to help you figure this out.

I know this is pretty basic, but sometimes it is the smallest things. Have you made sure that the McAffee folder has been deleted? Do you have all system files and folder and all hidden files and folders showing?

have you tried McAfee's uninstall help

You can also try this AV uninstaller to try to get rid of the last bits of Mcafee:
