Default Moving an Icon Back to the Start Bar

Hey guys.

My aunt moved her icon for MS Publisher off of her start menu and onto the desktop. Now we can't figure out how to move it back. Any ideas?

You mean on the left , below the internet and email shortcut?

That is a list of "most used programs" , if she uses the app often enough then it will re-appear again.

If you right-click on the start button and select "Explore" you will find yourself looking at the directory structure of the start menu. Simply navigate to the folder in there that you want the shortcut in, and then drag it and drop it back in place.

It's very easy Space.
Right click on the Icon on the desktop and click Cut.
Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Start
Paste it there or in a sub folder of it.

Joe: No, I mean back into the sub-folder it came from in the "Programs" directory.

Arty + Bluefish: Been there, tried that... No cigar.

Pretty strange..what do you exactly mean by: no cigar?
I mean were you unable to paste it there or, the subfolder was not in there?
You could also try: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Menu Start.

Try this , navigate to:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs

and copy the shortcut in the folder there that you want it in.
