not a stupid question Bluefish. Some disc wont burn at 4x's only 1 2 or 8 or 2 4 8 etc.. so one. Have you tried going into your burning software and changing the burn time?

Yes i have tries changing burn times , but to no avail :-(

Did you also try Nero's aspi? Or the forceaspi tool?

Have you upadted your firmware for your drive lately? I know some of the newer disc's have the warning on them to update your firmware.

Cannot save the Nero ASPI setting ?

No i have not updated the firmware of my Drive , how do i go about that ?

what type of burner do you have? I can direct you yo the firmware for it..

Dont laugh but i dont really know what it is , it came with my pc and all i can see is HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4164B,

Sorry told you all i was'nt very clever with Pc's !!
