Youre hjt log looks pretty clean i think , just a few things:

Download Cwshredder:

http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract..._download.html

Then boot in safemode (hit f8 when booting up and fix these with hijackthis:

O4 - Global Startup: BlueSoleil.lnk = ?
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://bar.mywebsearch.com/menusearc...p=ZSYYYYYYYYGB
O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/nocache...alFWBInitialSe tup1.0.0.15.cab
And run the Cwshredder after that.

And an Ewido scan is harmless if you just follow the instructions step by step , and it might help you with youre problem.

On a side note , does Norton Anti virus scan as i burn , would this slow down burn times, should i switch my broadband modem off when burning ?

Also not much to worry about , most of the entry's are tracking cookies.
But you can delete these two folders:

C:\Program Files\Screensavers.com
C:\WINDOWS\wt

And no need to turn off youre modem when burning. But did you just install Norton? If you already had Norton installed before the problem begon then it probebly is not the cause.

Hey Gazza,

Nortons should be monitoring which should not impact your burning. However if you are actually running a scan, that could cause a slowdown, and would negatively affect Norton's ability to scan for virus'. However, you should be able to determine when Nortons is running a scan, you should have them scheduled, and be able to view them in Norton Anti Virus.

Have you done a test burn since fixing those issues in HJT and ewido? (see, silly, I told you it wouldn't be that hard, :cheesy: )

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

Also can you go into your device manager.

right click my computer/click manage/click on device manager/then click on dvd/cd rom drives make sure there are no conflicts and it is working fine....Next Right click the tab that says IDE/ATA support devices, and under primary IDE click on properties, then click the tab that says advanced, and see if DMA is enabled. It will either say DMA5 or 2 or PIO. Make sure you can have DMA enabled. Then go to the secondary IDE support device and do the same thing. Are all the devices on DMA mode?
