Default [Fixed] explorer.exe rename

i have edited the explorer.exe file on my laptop and saved it as explorer1.exe then i edited the registry to use the new copy i made. i typed explorer1.exe in the relevant part of regedit and clicked ok then logged of and logged back on again but now explorer wont load because i put Explorer1.exe instead of explorer1.exe into regedit!!! the difference is that it has a capital E at the start and explorer wont load!! how can i go into C:/windows and change the filename back??

He can't - windows cant boot Explorer1.exe.

Although, a tip: Never touch important system files.

yes, exactly
i cant simply go into my computer and rename it because windows wont boot the explorer file.
i didnt rename explorer.exe, i edited it and saved it as explorer1.exe then edited the regitry to use Explorer1.exe but it is trying to use Explorer1.exe when no such file exists because i saved it as explorer1.exe with a lowercase e instead of a capital one

is there any way i can boot up without needing to use explorer? and change the name of explorer1.exe to Explorer1.exe, i have tried safe mode but that doesnt work

 Very good point about important system files bdude, but isn't the conflict because the PC is looking for one name and the file is named something different?
