Question Few probs....

Evening guys.

My comp has been crazy lately and i've been to so many sites and still can't solve it.

1. Task manager. Can't access it. Ctrl+Alt+Del has no affect. Right click on the taskbar gives me the option, but won't open it. I've been through regedit and gpedit but everything is fine, can't see the problem.

2. Regedit. Although I can access it through the search option, if I try and use the run command, it starts up in command prompt.... which leads me onto...

3. Command Prompt. Although I can open it up, I don't get a real prompt, and when I hit any key, it closes itself down.

Get the feeling all 3 are linked somehow, since they kinda started about the same time. Currently using 3 anti-virus progs, but they're not finding anything of note. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there Lord , lets first have a look for malware problems.

If you follow the instructions in the "Prework" link below , and attach the 2 log files to a post , then we'll start from there.

PS , you tried this already?

Yeah, did try that. The problem I had with that was there was no 'system' folder!

Won't let me add the logs here for some reason. Any ideas? Radio button just depresses.

 Hey LL,

Welcome to PCHF from me as well. You go ahead and just paste them into your post and I will fix it for you. Sounds like we need to figure out what's up with your PC quick.

I will watch for your post.

Oh, done it!

The scan report - I've chopped it right down. There were about 300 more, similar to the last entry, but it was too large to upload, so I cleared them. Hope that's ok?

Thanks.

ROFL!!! :laughing4

I can see why you would want to put that caveat in there considering your handle. LOL

OK, let me take a look at your logs, 300 more?! Wow, sounds like you got hit hard.

I'll be back in a few.
