Its been like this for a week now. It turns on but nothing at all happens. I can hear the harddrive kick in but no luck. I cant start in safe mode or do anything else for that matter. Is it busted?

Hi clunk, welcome to PC Help Forum

No error messages....nothing huh? Why not try a repair install?
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

You will need...your XP CD and you will need to go into the bios and enable the CD rom as the "First boot device". If you need help with that just ask

 Hello to you Clunk,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a wonderful team of technicians here with a wide variety of computer knowledge, and I am positive that we can help you resolve this problem.

First of all, I have a few questions I need you to answer.

Do you get any image on your monitor at any point?

Can you please post the Make/Model of your computer, and VGA?

Can you please post your OS, version and whether your updates are curent?

Have you recently installed any software or hardware?

Have you checked to make sure that your VGA card is seated properly?

Have you checked to make sure that your Monitor cable is seated properly?

What is the last thing you remember happening before losing access to the computer?

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN
