Default pc game crashes at startup

Im not sure if this post should go here, but it might be a problem with xp. I have a problem with 2 games that i have. They work for others but after i install, I click to play, the screen goes black(as if about to startup), then the screen goes back to the desktop as if the game crashed. This only happens to these two games. I meet all the system requirments and I have the latest drivers plus DirectX 9.0c.

Please help!

Hya Jjtbejazzin , welcome to PCHF.

Can you give the names of those games? If it are older games then try the compatibilty mode , rightclick on the desktop shortcut and select "properties" and then "compatibility".
Try some different settings there.

Have you also tryed re-installing youre motherboard and video driver? And did you also check to see if there are any updates for those games?

And what are youre system specs?

For the mother board drivers , just download the latest from the web and install. And uninstall youre videodriver first before installing the new driver.

If you don't know what drivers you need and/or the model and brand of the video and mobo then use one of the apps to find out , or post the results for us to look at:
