PS; do you mean that winupdate is telling you that you have the latest drivers?

the games have no updates. which motherboard driver would i need? I did the ata one and i have the update for that one but there are othercatigories for drivers.

You are looking for the "chipset" drivers of youre motherboard.

Have you tried going into your event manager?

Click Start..Right Click my computer/ Click on manage/ then you will see your event viewer in the upper right hand corner. Click the little + you see there and let us know what it says under hardware and application's. See if we can see whats going on that way.

Looks like you have a half year old driver , try this one:

Also if you post the brand and model of youre motherboard then we can find a driver for that to.
