Default prev. working software, now crashes?

I've been working with flash for some time on my laptop now and it worked fine, until one day.. It crashed even before it had loaded itself. I wanted to try out flash 8 and the trial version does the exact same thing! I don't seem to be having any problems on my other pc. I also noticed that when it crashes the loadingscreen is stuck at: 'initialyzing Fonts'.

I tried replacing the fonts on my laptop with the fonts on my pc but i can only add fonts, instead of replacing them. Therefore I deleted as much fonts as could be deleted and tried the program again. It still didn't work.

Can anybody help me with this problem?

i've restarted my pc a few times but never without flash installed on my pc. Do you think it is worth a try to uninstall, then restart and then install again?
