Default My Start bar is missing!

I have a bit of a problem the bar on the bottom of the screen that has the Start menu the clock and all the other stuff has seemed to have dissapered on me. I have tried to click and drag all around the edges and the window key as well as clicking to see if any properties come up and see if it some how got locked. So i was asking if anyone could help me and tell me how to get it back, because it is a pain haveing to go though the c drive then program files... just go get something open. So if you can help me i'll be greatly thankful.

Hya BaseballPlayer , welcome to PCHF.

Lets try this first , open youre taskmanager and kill "explorer.exe" , then in youre taskmanager click on "file" and then "new task" , type in "explorer.exe" and press "OK".

See if youre taskbar comes back.

Thank you Joe, but unless i did that wrong and i'm 100% sure i did not, it didn't really do anything. Have another sugestion? I don't know if this matters but I forgot to say in the first one that I have changed my graphic card a little before it did this. So I don't know if that has to do w/ anything but it seems like it may have. Although when i had the same card as i do know in it never did this.

Yup , lets try this first (if you have XP/2000):

go to ctrl/alt/del , select "file" and "new task" and in the run window type in:
sfc /scannow >press enter
Have you XP CD in youre drive, and it'll run itself, replacing any missign or damaged protected XP files.

And if that doesn't then please follow the instructions in the "prework" link below and attach the 2 resulting log files to a post here , to check if there is a malware problem on youre pc.

I just saw youre edit , what do you mean exactly with "changed my graphics card a little" ?

If you changed cards , did you uninstall the old driver and installed a new?

The "little" was talking about the time before i restarted the comp and the bar was missing. And as far as uninstalling and installing of the cards is, all i did was put the card into the comp and hook my monitor up too it.

Then i would advice to uninstall the current drivers and download the latest drivers for youre new card and install those.
