Yes I removed Quicken and OIN. There's also something else on my computer called Python. I don't know where it came from or what it is.

Hey Guys,

@SpicyAutumn, there are many legitimate computer related things called Python, can you be a little more specific? Where are you seeing it? Does it have an icon? Is it only in your add/remove programs list? Have you done a search to determine if it is part of another program?

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN

I have python version 2.2.1 and the website it gives is www.python.org. It's hidden in the c:\windows folder and it's also in the add/remove programs list. I did a search but no other programs came up, just python.

I had posted a thread a while ago about my shutdown problem, I had forgotten about it. Since my other problem was solved they closed that thread and said to start a new one, but I never did cause I got busy with other things and forgot all about it. Here's a link to it..... it's at message #65

ok I'm trying to do sfc / scannow to see if that will solve my shutdown problem. Everytime I try to run it an ms-dos window will open then close really fast. Am I doing anything wrong?

Unhappy

*sigh* I got the scan to work. But my computer still does the same thing. Are there any hacks for regedit that I can do that would maybe fix this problem?
