Default [Resolved] WMI reports 100% CPU usage but task manager shows 0-20%

Hello,

I am using WMI with PHP and my CPU Usage script has started displaying 100% cpu usage all the time, even though task manager shows normal usage like 0 - 20%.

This happened once before and was solved by a reformat but this is too drastic as it is a server that I run it on.

Windows XP, No service packs (hate them)

Thanks in advance.

Andy.

Hi there and welcome to PCHF!

Let's start by preparing for a malware check. Can you follow the instructions in this post: http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...r-hjt-log.html and then attach your logs here as files. One of our excellent Security Analysts will look at them...

Thanks for the link. I have discovered it is a flaw with my script. I have another script that uses the same cpu usage code and it works fine.

It is weird though because I have had this problem before and was unable to solve it. Im pretty sure its not a malware problem because 2 other computers (including a friends) also does it.

Sorry for wasting your time.
