Default Error 0x8DDD0002

Hi everyone,
I am having a problem with Windows refusing to recognise my administrator status, so that I can't install any updates.

I have been on the Microsoft support page for this error, and followed all the suggestions.
None of them made any difference.

The only one I could not complete was the alteration to the SoftwareDistribution folder, as it says you have to click the security tab on Properties, and if I go to explorer/MyComputer/C/WINDOWS/SoftwareDistribution,
right click and click Properties, there is no security tab, just General/Sharing /Customise

I am sure you all know more than MIcrosoft, so can anyone help with this?
Many thanks
Anji

Hey there Anjistar

Can you check to see whether you login account is setup with "administrator" priveledges.

Go to START - CONTROL PANEL - USER ACCOUNTS.

Check to see what group your username falls under. e.g Administrator / power user.

Hi Zimbo, thanks for your reply.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, but as I put in my first post, I have already been there and done that! To no effect.
Any other ideas!
Cheers
Anji
