Default please help with computer problems!

ok theres a couple problems that i have. im running windows xp and when i start up my computer and it gets to the logon screen i select my username and enter my password it takes awhile for windows to actually start up. why is this? also my computer is being a little laggy. like on webpages sometimes i push buttons on the keyboard and it lags. like it takes a little bit for it to show up after i press a button. also windows folders like in my documents sometimes i have to do more clicks than double clicks. i also want to speed up my whole computer a little bit. because i have a really nice computer i dont want to ruin it.

Hi there,

I would say that you have too many processes running or there is possibly something nasty lurking in your system. Follow THIS LINK and complete the tasks, then post your logs required here.

Could be that some malware isn't happy that parts of it are deleted now..

Did you also try logging back on in safemode and completing the instructions?

Also how many user accounts do you have on youre pc? You might want to post a hjt log for each user account.

PS, its better to continue this in youre hjt post.
