Just a quick check though , How strong is youre power supply , and how old?

There is also a small change that youre psu couldn't handle the card.

oh, my computer is a AMD 64 FX-51 2.2ghz. the power supply is 350 watts. 1 gig of ecc ram. the card worked flawlessly for 2 weeks. its a real shame but i got lucky compaired to what would've happened had i not known it was the card. i would've probably ended up getting a new computer a month from now. i've had the computer almost exactly 2 years now.

350w is not very strong for youre specs i think , might also be an idea to upgrade it to an stronger one.

I don't think the powersupply is the problem here , even though a weak psu can cause similair problems but the problems where to suddon for that.

But im pretty sure youre specs inc. the next coming vid card , would like the extra juice.

yeah i was a fool with the powersupply. i spaired no expence with the computer. but for some ******ed reason i went with 350 and not 550-600

the next computer will be a monster i'll have 2 bleeded edge cards. so i'll need atleast 650watts for that. hopefully by then they'll pass 4ghz in processor speed. if not then i guess it'll be the amd fx-61 if they ever have that in the future. i'll always be loyal to AMD. they have served me well.
