Default [Resolved] Help ony my Boot

Hi recently i have encountered a problem with my PC. I belive i fried my motherboard so i put in my backup and when i start up my compuer everything starts up but my keyboard. I just bought a brandnew keyboard and when xp is loaded it wont let me type at all. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Hya DublOTwo , welcome to PCHF.

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver?

And could you test it with a different keyboard to rule that out as a problem?


Also did you reinstall windows after switching motherboards? Or is it the same brand and model motherboard?

yes i have tried 3 diferent types of motherboards. ps and usb. i cant even use a keyboard to signin to reinstall drives.

Have you tried different keyboards? Try an old run-of-the mill basic keyboard and see if it works

i have tried a like 2 year old keyboard, a usb keyboard about a year old, and i jsut went out and bought one and no luck.

Have you also tried booting in safemode to see if youre keyboard works then?
