Hmm , youre keyboard should still work before windows boots up if it was a driver issue because of using a different motherboard on an "old" windows install.
Or are you using an USB connection for the keyboard?

Are all the cables fully connected the right way? Double-check all the connections. Also if you have any USB port that is not on your motherboard, try connecting your keyboard to those.

:smiley: Hey Guys,

@DoubleOtwo,

Does the mouse work? If so, go to Start, Run, type in MSCONFIG. Click on the Boot.Ini tab, and select Safeboot, Minimal. That will boot you into Safe Mode and you can determine if your keyboard works there.

Also, can you get into your Bios? Or does the PC simply not recognize the keyboard at any point?

TTFN

LGW

A word of advice when working inside your computer
When working inside your computer, you should always be aware of the risk for Electrostatic Discharge. To prevent this, it is recommended that you wear an anti-static wristband, or, at the very least discharge yourself for a few minutes by touching a grounded metal rod (the antennae of a plugged-in boom box works well).
