Instead of using the system disk can you try to insert your Windows XP CD and boot off that. See whether you can do a reinstall of windows.

Guys, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me figure out my problems. Despite your best efforts, I've shipped my motherboard back to the manufacturers. Hopefully, they will soon send me back another motherboard. Nevertheless, I cannot thank you enough for your help, as I've also learned quite a bit about computer hardware.
