Ok but the strange thing to me is it happens to all the computers. That basically rules out that this is a problem to the computer. Still thing your router kind of kickes the computer off.
What do you exactly mean with:

'the internet stays intact'

?

By the way, if it is just the faulty cable, I can't understand why it happens to the other computers in your family too. Anyway, perhaps your ISP knows about this problem.

By the way, if it is just the faulty cable, I can't understand why it happens to the other computers in your family too.
@Bluefish, if the faulty cable is the one going from the modem to the wall connection, it would intermittently drop everyone.
