Default Unable to Install XP Pro on my new comp >ERROR> 0x0000007b

Hi any help would be greatly appreciated. I just bought parts for a new comp to put together, and when I try to install XP PRO it locks on me and I get an error message 0x0000007b. It also says something about a virus in the HD, or the HD not set up correctly? The HD is a Western Digital 120gig SATA.
I did try to install Win 98 on the computer and it did with no problem. But if i do a fresh XP install or an upgrade to XP from 98 I get that error message?

Thanks for yout input:computer_

Is the HD also new? If it is then its probably not a virus. Try erasing the HD with killdisk and try to install again. Also is the drive being recognized as "primairy master" in youre bios?

My bios does see the HD as primary master, and yes everything in new.

Here is the message I get

xxxSTOPxxx 0X0000007B (0X81894CD0, 0XC0000032, 0X00000000, 0X00000000) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.
If this is the first time you’ve seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check you hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Boot from the XP CD and go into the recovery console (press "R" in the install menu). Then at the dos prompt (C:\) type chkdsk /R : http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d...us/chkdsk.mspx

If this doesn't change anything go back to the recovery console and use fixboot: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d...s_fixboot.mspx

I bought a ide 250 gig HD and installed it into my comp and XP installed fine, then i hooked up the SATA HD and it was ok too as a slave wierd so i am ok with that. So now I have an issue with my VID card crashing and going to the desktop. I spent like two hrs on the phone with ATI(to no avail) and they basically said to check with my motherboard people and see if any other similar problems have been reported.
I thought it would be nice and fun to build another computer(LOL) its been awhile.
