Exclamation DVD drive stopped working.
Windows XP, 512 RAM, Pentium IV,etc.
My drive worked fine, and then all of the sudden it just wouldn't read any CD/DVDs anymore.
I don't know If it was an update that caused this or something is disconnected inside my computer. I have disabled/enabled all my drives and that didn't work. I have also tried to get updates, but that didnt work.
All drives appear to be working and connected in the Device Manager.
Any help is appreciated,

Hello and welcome to PCHF

Can you see your CDROM drive when you open My Computer?

Do you have a CD lens cleaner, it is possible that the lens inside your CD-ROM is dirty and that is why it can no longer read CD's

Yes, I can see the drive in my computer. I will have to look into the lense cleaner thanks.
