Default [FIXED] Mouse wheel problem

Hello im new here, i would posted this under PC hardware, but there was no mouse section . This seems the most adaquate place to post my question. Well here i go, when i press the wheel of my mouse it works. But if i try to scroll anywhere it wont scroll, it is very frustrating because ive grown adapted to the scrolling. The mouse does not have a brand came with computer, but it is a model SAGM002.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey cdhotfire, welcome to PCHF .

Is your mouse an optical mouse or the kind with the ball inside? If it is the kind with the ball inside you might want to try opening the back (there should be something to turn where the ball is) and taking some compressed air and blowing all the dust out...

Try to uninstall youre mouse and let windows reinstall it:

Go to: Control Panel\Performance and Maintenance\System\hardware\Device Manager and double click on "mice and other pointing devices" and rightclick on youre mouse there and select uninstall , reboot and let windows reinstall it.

yes on the track ball, but i dont think blowing air will do much, as i said the button itself works, but scrolling does not work what so ever. uninstalling it did not work.

thanks for the ideas anyway.
