Hello! I am working on my brothers computer (xp) that will not boot, the only beep code is one long beep over and over. I tested it with post tester and it got stuck on 60. I can not find any bios names on the motherboard but using the other post codes i saw flash past while testing the boot, it looks like ami. If that is correct it is a dma registar page problem. I tried hooking up the hard drive to 2 other pcs to try to pull some info off the drive for my brother but both times i got a bad disk error. I tried putting a different hard drive int the pc but with the same results, no boot-one long beep. When I see the post error that refers to dma, does that refer to the dma controller on motherboard or the dma on the hard drive? I am just a little confused by the dual problems, please help if you can!
