Default help! I can't get windows to load except in safe mode
i keep getting an error screen that says endpoint not valid in lsass.exe it has a little ok button and then reboots.
I can get on in safe mode. i had just done a system restore before that happened because lately I can't get online until i do a system restore. argh!!

It is possible that you might have a virus - W32.Sasser

Download this removal tool from symantec, boot into safemode and run it:

Good point. Didnt think of that.. If you can download this program and run it and your pc will not be able to shut down. It overides everything else, this way you can do the fixes.

Thanks for the replies. I did 2 more system restores in safe mode and on the last one it worked again. I still have no idea what happened. I scanned for viruses but nothing came up. Oh well, all is working now!

Can you post a hijackthis log to check if there is still something nasty running?
See for a link below in my sig. Select the top option "do a system scan and safe a log file" and attach that log to a post here please.
