We are looking to install a broadband connection on our family computer and want to make it accessable to all user accounts on that PC. How is this done apart form installing it seperately on each account. We have XP home ed.

What type of connection are we talking about? ADSL, Cable, always on, dial-up broadband?

So what software are you trying to install (if any)?

It normally comes on a CD as Im sure you know and it configueres the connection automatically. However that is normally then only accessable on the user account which you are logged into when you install it. So how can this be made available to all user accounts?

You can install it logged in as an administrator - then go into Windows Explorer and copy the icon to all users/desktop
