UPDATE==========

I have powered it up trying it again with the same power supply in it...THE SAME...and i get green lights and beeps....

I will get 1 LOOOOOOONG beep tone.....1 after another, just constantly a single looooooong beep, then pause then long beep again, pause, long beep...so on...

So, I will try to find what that means?? I dont have my pc repair text book handy...
certain beeps mean certain things....http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm#04 has a listings for beeps...but it is long beep after long beep after long beep...

it did have the NO BEEP problem before...which means mobo i guesss....

NOW I CHANGE THE POWER SUPPLYS!

ok here we go... :

Its confirmed..I plugged in the extra power supply.......its NOT a faulty PSU! The PSU are both great!

BUT i get these long beeps...its gotta be the mother board!!! or how do i know if its the cpu??? THE RAM LOOKS GOOD....

I only have primary-boot dvd drive, 2 stciks of ram..video card...wireless net card and keyboard plug into system...

its gotta be mobo...IT LOOKS LIKE A AREA ON THE MOBO HAS MOLD OR CRUST ON IT...ALMOST BURNT...all my fans will turn on...all lights are go...just cant pass startup at post!

I'll start looking for a new mobo at newegg

I hope it JUST the mobo...HOW DO I KNOW MY CPU IS STILL GOOD??

Hmm thats not good

The only way to check your CPU is by testing it in a working motherboard. Might be worth checking to see what the price difference is between buying a motherboard on its own or a motherboard with a processor. If the difference isn't too big then you may as well purchase the one with CPU. That way you can be 100% sure everything is new and works.

Point taken...

I know first hand experience that spend the extra cash goes along way...

BTW I cant seem to get my heatsink off the CPU...to get the pentium 4 off my mobo...

I removed the fan on the heatsink fine...but, there are 2 silver bars runnning across the heatsink, on each side of it, both with thumb-tab looking 'tags' sticking out...look like levers that can be pulled ...but its really on there and i dont wanna break it off the board!

so, how do i take the heat sink off???

From what you describe it sounds like you need to push down one side then when that's free the other side will come loose and you can un-clip it.
