Default [FIXED] Tasksheduler not working.
While we are on the subject of services (I do apologise to the OP) Im getting error: 1717 (the Interface Is Unknown) when i try to start the task scheduler service. Any ideas of how to re register the service?

Have a look if the "event log" service is started and set to automatic.

Do you mean that the taskscheduler works now , or that you set the event log to automatic?
