Default sfc /scannow not able to run.

Ok, for some reason, im not able to run sfc /scannow from the run command or cmd. This is what i get in cmd:

"You must be an Administrator running a console session in order to use the Windows File Checker utility"

and what i find weird is, that im a member of the admin group.

Hey Guys,

This is a totally me learning question, Joe, are you suggesting Wayne try in safe mode because he would then presumably be logged in as Administrator? Is it possible that his user account is somehow corrupted? If so, other than deleting and reconfiguring is there another way to fix it?

Thanks,

TTFN
