Windows XP/2000 - Registry Problems posted in the Operating Systems forums; well i'm getting a few stop error blue screens and my pc is slow and freezes... i've been told that its a registry problem coz the virus and and spyware ...

well i'm getting a few stop error blue screens and my pc is slow and freezes... i've been told that its a registry problem coz the virus and and spyware front is clean. like a said i just ran a scan on the registry and it says that i have 105 crital errors and the rest are high risk errors. Thing is i can't even find keygens for the trail registry programs that i'm using so without paying ?250 i'm at a dead end

Here are some more you can try:

RegScrubXP 3.25
Online Scan

Otherwise the best program to use in my mind is RegistryFix which allows you to scan your system for free but you will need to register in order for it to fix your problems.(only $37)
Alternatively it gives you the addresses of where the problems are in your registry so you could use regedit and go through and delete the bad entries (if you feel comfortable enough doing that)

alrite i've bought one and cleaned my registry but it used fix my main problem... my stop error. I'll try and explain this best i can. I hear a clicking noise and i have a orange LED light over the power light that starts to go CRAZY... then i get a blue screen saying

"karnal data impage error"

any help?

That is a corruption error in a memory read or write opperation, it could be caused by failing hardware or a file error that was either, lost in a hardware read/write glitch, caused by hopefully a temporary condition like heat, or power fluctuation??? There are several programs you can stress test the system with to check for those problems, it will run clean if that was a temporary issue, if it's some part failing, the stress test might show which part is having issues.
