My system often fails to shut down when I click on the shut down icon and I am left having to turn it off at the wall. Also I have the same problem sometimes with restart. Please can anyone help me with this?
Also I heard of a quick reboot (hot reboot) where you have to hold shift or some other key as you click restart. Well I tryed it with shift and nothing happened. So what's the story there, what is the correct way. Cheers guys for any help.

When you chose , then notthing is happened or does a sceen pop-up what say's: "You can now tun off your computer"?
If you het the screen that say's you can manually shut down, you can upgrade the bios


This quick reboot with the shift only works with Windows 95 & 98.

I click on shut down, the shut down window options (shut down restart and stand by) and then that window disappears as it should and then nothing else happens. So i try again and still nothing happens.
