To boot from cd you need to change the order to:


1. removable device :legacy floppy
2. atapi cd-rom:dvd rom.
3. ide harddrive: wdc wd00838bb-wbccac11
4. other boot device:disbaled


You probebly have to select "disabled" on all 4 first before the option to select them becomes availeble. (when they are already set you can't select them a second time)

ok so they wont show up on the list i put everything to disabled and the went up to 1.

all i can change one to is
LS120
ZIP
ATAPI MO
USB FDD
USB ZIP

do i have to save changes when i dsable everything?

ugh this is frustrating

is it possible that the computer didnt go all the way through thwe format thats why it wont reinstall?

i guess that's not the problem, but if you change DVD-Rom drive to ZIP, can you change legacy floppy into DVD-Rom theN?
by the way, when you're sure the settings are correct you should Save settings & Exit BIOS
or try to disable everything except for DVD-Rom, but when Windows Setup works, the first time you restart (that's when you exit the blue screen) make sure you enable everything again, save settings and reboot systeem

nope if i put everything blank and then save nothing changes i can only change 1.removable device to

LS120
ZIP
ATAPI MO
USB FDD
USB ZIP

and i can only change 3. apati cd-rom to cd or dvd

also i cant change the order , i cant move 1 to 3
removable disk has to be first and apati cd rom has to be third

hmm sorry i'm not quited known with bioses..a lot of bioses does allow you to change boot sequence easily using + an -, this one isn't, I guess it's Phoenix-bios..but that won't help you anyway
