I have deleted alot of info from my computer trying to make more hard drive space. I think it all came 0ff the surface only. I need to know how to dig deep to get all out and not just off the surface?

Hya Dion and Kim , welcome to PCHF.

This is maybe a stupid question but did you also empty the recycle bin?
And also are you using Norton? (protected recycle bin)

You can also use this free app to see what files/folders are taking up alot of space.

And also what where you deleting and how?

PS: who locked this topic and why?

Temporary files. Delete everyting in temp directories and search and delete anything with the .temp extension.

:-) Hey Dion and Kim,

This is a great tool for cleaning your PC from unnecessary stuff. Don't forget to use your defrag tool as well, it helps to make your PC run more smoothly.
