Windows XP/2000 - [Pending] this time i am truly lost posted in the Operating Systems forums; I think that tjnbarbour forgot to mention that you need to paste the prt scrn copy into MS Paint in your accessories folder in the start menu...

Hengis, I have never had to do that before, I just paste the scrn shot directly into Word, Always works for me.

Word works just as well, of course - I don't think you mentioned Word tho. I am (as always) happy to be corrected

On your keyboard, usually above your arrow keys, you will find a key that says Prt Scrn, sometimes it is shared with another option like, Sys Rq, but not always. With the Default Settings window showing, press this key. Then, open windows and press the Crtl+V keys it should paste a "picture" of your settings, you can adjust the size in order to make it easier to see. Then just save it to your desktop and you can post it.
