hey Mad Moo,

Do you know how long this has been going on? Have you done a complete virus and spyware scan on your PC?

Have you checked to see what program your computer is trying to use to open JPEGs? In explorer, click on Tools/Folder Options, then click on the Filetypes tab. Click on anyone and the type JP. It should take you right to JPEG. At the bottom of the box, it should tell you what file program is used to open JPEGs. Check to see that it is still pointing at Windows Picture viewer.

Also, have you tried accessing them from other applications, like Microsoft Word or Excel?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

T

What programs did you run to check for infections?

What program is oriented to open JPEG files in FileTypes?

What operating system are you using, and when this first started happening, do you remember anything different, a new site, and odd email, anything like that?

Do the following:

Open you windows explorer, then click on "Tools" --- "Folder Options"

Click on the "File Types" TAB and browse down the list to JPEG.

Check to see what program is currently setup to open these files, change it to Windows Picture Viewer if it isn't already set to that.
My advice is to change all three to Windows picture Viewer... "JPE, JPEG, JPG"
