I've brought a new PC and thought I'd set it up myself.....
Buliding the PC up with the hardware went ok, but then when i tried taking the current harddrive i had been using on my other computer (a P3)
the new setup up computer wouldn't boot XP on that drive. Now I've been told you have to reinstall XP for use on a new hardware config coz XP will crash bcoz of the settings it has for the old hardware...
So, i brought a new 160G harddrive and had been trying to get the XP setup to bootup by setting the boot device to CD-ROM.
BUT....the XP disk i have is a repair/recovery disk NOT a Bootable disk....:-o
So, how can i boot up the set up for XP? I already tried using a old WIn98 Bootup disk and ive tried using a MS-DOS bootup disk made on my old computer and then put into the floppy drive on the new computer, it didn't work.
I've searched the new for answers but haven't found any.....

? :banghead:
My new Setup is: P4 3.2Ghz, Gigabyte M/B, 256Mb...ummm can't remember what brand video card...
CAN ANYONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!????
