Question [Answered]How to restrict users running programs from command prompt

I want to restrict users from running programs/applications from command prompt (I am using Win XP). I dont want to restrict users from using command prompt, but I want to restrict them only from running programs/applications (.exe files) from command prompt.
Actually I have restricted some programs using DisallowRun key in the registry, but the problem is that users can still run those from command prompt. As per the requirement I cannot restrict command prompt too.
Can someone help? how can I restrict users running programs from command prompt?

Add cmd.exe to the DisallowRun key, that will hopefully solve it.

Spacekid3750 thanks for reply. But as per the requirement, users should not be restricted from using comand prompt but from running applications through command prompt. Thus, adding cmd.exe in DisallowRun will restrict users from using command prompt, which is not required.

Just a thought, if you allow them to have access to DOS at all they could still run destructive commands such as "format".

Spacekid3750 thanks for the point. But as for the requirement, more important thing is to restrcit running applications.
