Hey, I had two user accounts set up within XP both with passwords. However my processor died, so I decided to use that harddrive as a secondary harddrive in another computer, then back up all the stuff on that harddrive before redoing the other computer with the new processor.
Though I am not permitted access to get to these files cause I am not logged in, and when I tried this harddrive as Master I got a BSOD.

So is there anyway I can gain access to these files, or are they lost forever ?

you can try this nifty program. Worked for me a couple times and did not a couple times! about A 75% chance it will erase the password.

Make sure that the account you are using when logging into Windows is setup as "Administrator"
It might be worth trying to create another login account and set it to administrator while you have the slave drive connected.
