Default [Resolved] Codec help

Okay here's my problem..

am currently working with fruityloops. and it seems that some of the wav files require the mulaw codec. I have searched the internet installed many a codec pack.. tried the microsoft codec pack they for media player 9 and still nothing.. not to mention that i cant seem to find the codec itself anywhere :banghead:

can someone pleasse help me with this problem :-(

Maybe there is a conflict between codecs , it sounds like you have alot of them.
Try un-installing all codecs (packs) and only install this one:

K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Install it with the default options , that should have everything you need.

nope :-( removed all my codecs and installed the k lite pack and still no mulaw codec :banghead:

Hmm kind of wierd as the mulaw codec should be already installed on your pc. It is a windows default codec.

you can try donwload this codec pack see if it will fix the problem.

what os are you using?

Edit also do you have quicktime?


Or you can go here. I myself have never used fruityloops. But this would be the place to ask

Am using windows XP pro

now that i think on it it used to work before but i had to format my pc.. awhile back and reinstall windows ever since then it has been missing codec.. which is weird since its suppose to be already bundled with windows..

am go check out that website merlin thanks.. if anything pops illl let u guys know...

ooohh another question..

I put the k-lite codec pack on a friends computer so he can watch some anime..

but some of the anime doesnt play proper.. he opens it in media player classic but then media player closes right away.... do any of u know the cause of this and how i can fix it
