Windows XP/2000 - [Resolved] Prefetch folder GONE posted in the Operating Systems forums; Its just dissappeared, i have show hidden files and folders option enabled, but i still dont see it. Yet i set CCleaner to clean it out....

Default [Resolved] Prefetch folder GONE
Its just dissappeared, i have show hidden files and folders option enabled, but i still dont see it. Yet i set CCleaner to clean it out.

If you type "C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch" in the adress bar and press enter , does it find it then?

Make sure that "Hide protected operating system files and folders" is UN-ticked in Explorer - tools > folder options > view.

Or have you been using any windows tweaking progs lately?

You can try to just make a new Prefetch folder , re-boot and see if it gets used again.
