Default [FIXED] - HDD HELP!

Hi, I've just bought a new computer with a 250GB SATA Western Digital HDD. I've installed XP Pro on it, and in "my computer", when i click the HDD icon it's saying that the volume is only 137GB. So so GB is missing. I looked it up on the Western Digital homepage, and I downloaded Data Lifeguard 11 for DOS (Could not use for Windows because of the OS installed on the HDD). Booted the computer with the new discette, it runned a program, I rebooted again, went back to "my computer", still 137GB. What is the problem. (I've also tried going to disc manage). Ah, and one more thing, in the BIOS it says that the volume of the disc is 250GB. Please HELP!

Default Re: HDD HELP!

The best and easiest thing to do is install sp1 or sp2.
Winxp without any sp doesn't regognize drives larger then 137gb.

Of course, I actually thought of that, but I got the Lifeguard to work. Thanks anyway!!
