Ok, I reformated my comp, and now I am installling windows XP, I think it froze tho, I did a whole bunch of stuff, and now its at the "Installing Windows" stage, its saying " Registering Components " with 13mins to go, its been saying 13mins for the last hour or so, and the loading meter has stayed the same for about an hour. There is no stop download icon or anything, so I don't want to turn of the comp when its in the middle have reinstalling xp, so wut should I do, do you guys think it froze on me?

That shouldn't take that long unless you have a real old and slow pc maybe , i think it's time for a reset ,maybe the installation continues after that or else you have to start over im afraid.

Its not a slow comp, its a p4 2.4 GHz, i'm gonna wait maybe 10mins or so, and then restarting. But I hope it doesn't do it aging.

ok, I'm getting *****ed, restarted me comp, and it did it aging, says 13mins to go, and is at 'Installing Components" stage, stays there for ever. Now like wut is there to do? I restart the comp, and it just starts the installation over, but just to freeze at end, I can't even use the comp any more. I'm on a differ comp. any suggestions?

Make sure the disc is clean and look if it isn't damaged.

You had windows xp installed on this machine before and didn't change any hardware?

k well, Now I can't even use my own computer, I don't know why its doing this, the disk looks pretty good, no real marks and dings on the CD. Man I don't know why to do. Just keep saying still at 13min, and the meter stays the same. Its not like the comp freezes or anything, comp still running, the Window XP advertiseing thing to the right still keep going from page to page. Just the meter just sits there, and it stays at 13mins to ago. What do I do?
